* Assistant Basketball Coach

James Lissaman begins his third year on the Rose-Hulman men’s basketball coaching staff this winter.

Lissaman enters his 10th year overall in coaching. He most recently directed the Canterbury, New Zealand Under 17 team to a fourth-place finish at the national tournament.

As a player, Lissaman played for the Canterbury Under 23 team that finished second nationally in 2000.

Lissaman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Canterbury University and a Diploma of Teaching from the New Zealand Graduate School of Education. He is pursuing a master’s degree in physical education at Indiana State University, and his wife Pina will be assisting with the women’s team at Rose-Hulman.
