Jason LaBella

Jason LaBella enters his sixth season as the head rifle coach at
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2008-09.
LaBella recorded the first All-American award in the history of
Rose-Hulman's rifle program by placing 17th nationally in smallbore
at the 2004 NCAA Qualifier at Xavier University.
At the 2004 NCAA Rifle National Championships, LaBella placed
11th in the nation in air rifle, despite competing as a
non-scholarship student-athlete against the top shooters from NCAA
Division I, II and III.

In 2005, LaBella earned the Distinguished Expert Award for
Service Rifle, making him the 1,768th recipient since the award's
inception in 1884.
The Engineer rifle program
has finished in the top 25 nationally among Division I, II and III
programs for 10
consecutive seasons, highlighted by a 14th-place standing in 2004.
In 2005, members of the Rose-Hulman
rifle program earned two first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American
awards. Dan Cloutier and Jennifer Lowe earned the honors for
their efforts in the classroom and on the range. Rose-Hulman
was the only school to place one rifle team member on the CoSIDA
Academic All-America team.
LaBella is a 2004 graduate of Rose-Hulman with a bachelor's
degree in mechanical engineering. He also earned academic
minors in Spanish and biomedical engineering.
