Alex Dixon enters his first year as assistant
coach with the Rose-Hulman men's soccer program this fall.
Dixon joins the Engineers after serving as a
volunteer assistant for the Indiana State University women's
soccer program in 2008. His efforts included planning and
implementation of training sessions, scouting and game
management duties. The Sycamore reached their first
Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship game last
fall.
Previously, Dixon served as a soccer trainer for
World Wide Soccer in San Antonio, Texas, from 2007-08. He
served as technical trainer for the SA United 91 Girls and SA
United 97 Boys Gold squads.
Dixon has also served as varsity assistant and
head junior varsity coach at Antonian College Preparatory School
in San Antonio. His work experience includes summer camp
work at the University of Michigan, Birmingham United and World
Wide Soccer.
During his playing career, Dixon played for a
University of Incarnate Word squad that reached the NCAA
Division II Elite Eight in 2004 and reached the postseason three
times. He earned a bachelor's degree in business
administration and is pursuing a master's degree in physical
education and coaching at Indiana State University.
