Mark Buti has helped continue the growth of Rose-Hulman's wrestling program since arriving at the school in 1990.

Buti is a former Indiana State University wrestling letterman, who built the foundation for a successful wrestling program at South Vermillion High School in Indiana. Buti also officiated high school and college wrestling meets throughout western Indiana during the 1980s.

Buti has coached several top wrestlers at Rose-Hulman, including two-time Academic All-Americans Matt Morin (1990-91) and Jim Labbe (1994-95).

Buti is a part-time coach and also works at Dever Distributing Co. He was formerly a teacher at Gibault School for Boys and the Vigo County School Corp. He and his wife, Jane, have four stepchildren.

Buti graduated from McKeesport High School in McKeesport, Pa., and was an all-state wrestler at the school.
