TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology sophomore Jordan Goslee (St. Joseph, Mich.)
has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher
of the Week for her efforts on Sunday.
Goslee snapped her own school record with 13
strikeouts in a 2-1 complete game victory over Blackburn College
on Sunday.
In the victory, Goslee scattered four hits with
one walk and one unearned run allowed. The 13-strikeout
performance marked the third time in her career that the
standout pitcher has reached double figures in strikeouts.
Goslee joins senior pitcher Katie Maggard
(Floyds Knobs/Floyd Central) as an award winner in the HCAC
Pitcher of the Week contest this season.
Goslee stands 2-1 with a 1.62 earned run average
for an Engineer team that has a school record 8-2 start to the
season. The Engineers return to action with their league
opener at Transylvania University on Saturday.
