TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology placed three players on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team, in results released today by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Senior Ashley Montgomery (Plainfield) earned first-team academic all-district accolades, with sophomore Jordan Goslee (St. Joseph, Mich.) named second team and senior Katie Maggard (Floyds Knobs/Floyd Central) earning third-team accolades.

Montgomery will advance to the national ballot, with the Academic All-America Team scheduled for release on May 28.

Jordan Goslee -- second-team academic all-district

Montgomery, who also earned all-region honors this season, recorded a .377 batting average with 40 hits, 24 runs scored, six doubles, three triples and a team-high .519 slugging average.  She also recorded 11 stolen bases to graduate with a career school record mark of 37.

Other career school records for Montgomery include most hits (149), runs scored (103), triples (6) and total bases (202).

Montgomery completes her career ranked in the statistical top five in 15 Engineer categories.

Goslee established single-season school records for earned run average, strikeouts and won-loss percentage.  She finished the season with a 12-2 record, a 1.05 earned run average and 148 strikeouts in 107 innings pitched and was named HCAC Pitcher of the Year for her efforts.

Katie Maggard -- third-team academic all-district

Maggard returned to the Engineer lineup this season after missing last spring due to injury.  She compiled a record of 9-5 with a 2.54 earned run average during the campaign, including four shutouts and 74 strikeouts in 96.1 innings of work.

Rose-Hulman finished 25-12 on the campaign for the most wins and highest winning percentage in a season in school history.  The Engineers also captured the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season championship.
