TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology senior Amy Viles (Mooresville) and freshman
Jordan Goslee (St. Joseph, Mich.) earned first-team
all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors in softball,
in results released today by the league office.
Viles ranked second on the Engineers in batting
average at .393 with 33 hits, 20 runs scored, 18 RBIs and two
triples. She became Rose-Hulman's all-time career leader
in hits with 120 this season and also holds the mark for at bats
at 428.
Viles ranks in the Rose-Hulman career top 10 in
11 statistical categories. She stands second in school
history with 136 games played and 135 starts, and is third in
runs scored (76), stolen bases (15) and triples (3). Viles
also ranks fifth in school history in total bases (139) and
sacrifice hits (14).

Goslee led the pitching staff
with an 11-8 record and a 4.62 earned run average in her first season of college
softball.
She ranks second on the
single-season school record list with a pair of shutouts and is third in
Engineer history in wins (11), complete games (17) and strikeouts (92) in a
season.
Her efforts also included 127.1
innings of work to rank fourth all-time. As a batter, Goslee hit .308 with
eight doubles, two home runs, and a team-high 27 RBIs. The final total
ranks ninth on the Engineer single-season list.
Rose-Hulman finished 13-21
overall and 8-8 in HCAC play this season.
