GREENCASTLE, IND. -- DePauw University scored
once in the first half and relied on a strong defensive effort
to top Rose-Hulman 1-0 in men's soccer action on Wednesday.
Mike Harris scored with 3:50 left in the first
half on a strong shot across the box, and Tiger goalkeeper John
Fenley earned the shutout in the win.
Rose-Hulman senior Trey Buck (Austin,
Texas/Ohio State University) kept the Engineers within
striking distance with four saves. Buck tipped a strong
shot just wide on a full dive midway through the first half for
his top play of the night.
Junior Trevor Miller (Okemos, Mich., Okemos)
and sophomore Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest)
each recorded shots for the Rose-Hulman offense.
DePauw improved to 6-1-1 with the victory, while
Rose-Hulman dropped to 6-5. The Engineers host Manchester
College on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Jim Rendel Field in a Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference matchup.
