  Rose-Hulman News Rose-Hulman Defeats Earlham 2-1; Improves to 3-1 on Year

VIEW STATS

RICHMOND, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology utilized a second half goal by Rhys Evans (Lake Bluff, Ill.) and a strong goalkeeper performance to top Earlham 2-1 on Saturday.

Senior Trey Buck (Austin, Texas/Ohio State University) reached double figures with 10 saves in net to help the Engineers earn the win. Earlham outshot Rose-Hulman 16-9 in the contest.

Evans snapped a 1-1 tie at the 69:16 mark of the second half. Freshman Mitchell Ishmael (Knoxville, Tenn./Farragut) offered the assist on the game winner.

In the first half, freshman Will Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) opened the scoring with a tally in the 19th minute. Earlham knotted the score at 1-1 with a score in the 28th minute.

Rose-Hulman stands 3-1 overall and returns to action at Wittenberg University on Sunday.
