TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology earned three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference
Player of the Week honors after strong performances during the
college's Homecoming weekend.
Freshman placekicker Nick Schneider
(Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley) was named the HCAC Special
Teams Player of the Week as part of a 35-31 football victory
over Manchester.
The Engineers also swept cross country Runner of
the Week honors after a strong effort at Earlham.
Senior Stephen Boedicker (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy
Liberty) was crowned the men's Runner of the Week, with
senior Susan Nickol (Solon, Ohio/Beaumont School) earning
the women's honor.

Schneider
finished a perfect 5-5 on extra points and booted six kickoffs at an average of
58.5 yards per kick. His kickoff efforts forced Manchester's average drive for
the game to begin at the 23-yard line, with Rose-Hulman starting drives at the
34-yard line on average.
On the season, Schneider ranks third on the
Engineers in scoring with 19 points. He stands 16-17 on extra points and
adding the eventual game winning field goal in a 10-7 victory over North Park.
Boedicker won the
individual race at the Earlham College Invitational to help key a Rose-Hulman
performance that resulted in the team's first Invitational victory since 2000.
Boedicker finished
first among 99 runners with a time of 26:40 for eight kilometers.
