TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology earned a pair of Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference Player of the Week honorees for last weekend's
efforts.
Sophomore Jordan Goslee (St. Joseph, Mich.)
has been named the league Softball Pitcher of the Week, while
senior Janel Belton (Chesterfield, Mo./Parkway West) claimed the Women's
Track and Field Athlete of the Week award.
Goslee dominated hitters with a 3-0 record and a
0.37 earned run average in three Rose-Hulman victories last
week.
She allowed just seven hits and one in 19 innings
of work with 32 strikeouts and holding the opposition to a .109
average.
Goslee set a school record with 16 strikeouts in
a two-hit shutout vs. Anderson and tossed a two-hit shutout
against HCAC foe Franklin. Her earned run average stands
at 0.97 with a single-season school record 117 strikeouts in
2008.

Belton smashed her own school record in the
discus throw (135' 11") and the shot put (39' 0 1/2") at the Rose-Hulman
Twilight Meet on Friday.
Belton also tallied a hammer throw of 125' 1" for the
second-best effort in school women's history.
Her efforts resulted in finishes of second, fourth and fifth
in events that featured provisional national qualification efforts by the
winner.
