FINDLAY, OHIO – Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology improved to 7-5 on the season and completed its
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season schedule
with a 6-2 mark after sweeping Mount St. Joseph and Bluffton on
Saturday.
Sophomores Michael Schoumacher (Memphis,
Tenn.) and Scott Grubbs (Wildwood, Mo.) led the
Engineer effort with two-set sweeps at the No. 1 and 2 singles
positions.
Freshman Seth Hendrickson (Crawfordsville)
pitched in with victories at No. 3 and 4 singles, while freshman
Alex Gumz (Palatine, Ill.) and sophomore Peter Wenzel
(Sandy, Ore.) had unblemished singles marks as well.
Rose-Hulman travels to St. Francis University in
Illinois on Sunday and Greenville on Tuesday, before heading to
next weekend's HCAC Tournament.
