TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology sophomores Michael Schoumacher (Memphis,
Tenn.) and Scott Grubbs (Wildwood, Mo.) earned
first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors,
in results released by the league office.
Schoumacher finished 9-6 at the No. 1 singles
position and has a career mark of 20-15 in two seasons at
Rose-Hulman.
Grubbs tallied a 6-3 record at the No. 2 singles
spot as part of a 7-7 overall record this spring. He has
matched Schoumacher's career win total with a 20-17 overall
record.
Schoumacher and Grubbs also combined to form the
No. 1 doubles team at Rose-Hulman this spring. The duo
finished 9-6 for the Engineers.

Their efforts helped lead Rose-Hulman to a
second-place finish at the Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference Tournament and a third place in the league's regular
season standings. The Engineers completed their 11th
consecutive non-losing season with a 10-7 record.
