TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Senior Joe Rottman
(Evansville, Ind./Castle) was named Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Week for his
efforts this last week that pushed the Rose-Hulman men's tennis
team to the top of the conference standings.
Joe recorded a perfect 2-0 record at
No.1
singles and a 2-0 mark at
No.1 doubles to lead Rose-Hulman
to a sweep over Anderson and Manchester on Sunday.
Rottman captured a 6-3, 6-3 win against Kai
McCurry of Anderson and a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Andrew Ckacs of
Manchester, then teamed with Devin Claerbout for victories of
8-2 and 8-5 in doubles play.

Devin Claerbout (Bloomington) teamed up for two doubles
victories and swept singes matches at the No. 1 and No. 2
positions to lead the team effort.
The Engineers stand 2-0 on the season and 2-0 in
Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action after Sunday's
wins at Anderson. Rose-Hulman returns to action at Oakland
City University next Sunday.
