Joe Rottman's perfect 2-0 marks in both No. 1 singles and doubles earned Player of the Week recognition.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. – Senior Joe Rottman (Evansville, Ind./Castle) was named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis Player of the Week for his efforts this last week that pushed the Rose-Hulman men's tennis team to the top of the conference standings.

Joe recorded a perfect 2-0 record at No.1 singles and a 2-0 mark at No.1 doubles to lead Rose-Hulman to a sweep over Anderson and Manchester on Sunday.

Rottman captured a 6-3, 6-3 win against Kai McCurry of Anderson and a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Andrew Ckacs of Manchester, then teamed with Devin Claerbout for victories of 8-2 and 8-5 in doubles play.

Rottman and senior Devin Claerbout (Bloomington) teamed up for two doubles victories and swept singes matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions to lead the team effort.

The Engineers stand 2-0 on the season and 2-0 in Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference action after Sunday's wins at Anderson.  Rose-Hulman returns to action at Oakland City University next Sunday.
