Stephen Boedicker won the Earlham College Invitational to lead Rose-Hulman's effort on Oct. 4.

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- For the second consecutive week, the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's cross country team has earned a regional ranking from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association of America.

The Engineers are ranked 10th in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region after earning their first Invitational victory in eight seasons on Oct. 4 at Earlham College.

Senior Stephen Boedicker (Delaware, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) took top honors in the men’s eight kilometer race at Earlham with a winning time of 26:40 to pace Rose-Hulman.  The team topped perennial Great Lakes Region power Otterbein College to win the meet.

The Engineers picked up three more top ten finishes as senior Ian Thomas (Penville/Jay County) placed third in a time of 26:52, sophomore David Caldwell (Plymouth) seventh in 27:12, and freshman Micah Aldrich (Indianapolis/Warren Central) eighth with a time of 27:16.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Wilmington College Invitational this Friday.
