GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology men's cross country team relied on an all-region
performance to place 14th of 36 teams at the NCAA Division III
Regional on Saturday.
Senior Matt Repking (Teutopolis, Ill.) ran
the seventh-best time in school history to place 28th overall in
a time of 25:45 to claim all-region honors. Repking
narrowly missed the national meet with his effort.
Freshman David Caldwell (Plymouth) placed
second among Engineers with a time of 26:34. Junior Ian
Thomas (Penville/Jay County) came home next in a time of
26:48.
Junior Stephen Boedicker (Delaware, Ohio)
added a time of 26:51, while freshmen Tyler Kreipke (Zionsville)
rounded out the team score with an effort of 27:05.
The men's team performance marked the best effort
by a Rose-Hulman men's cross country team at an NCAA Division
III Regional in 18 seasons.
