TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology rallied from an eight-point second half deficit to close within one possession in the final seconds, before falling 49-44 to Anderson on Wednesday.

Senior Ron George (Louisville, Ky./Manual) scored 14 points on 6-10 from the field to lead the Engineer offense.

Anderson earned a 41-33 advantage with 10:42 left in the game, before Rose-Hulman methodically charged to move within 45-44 on a score by George with 1:08 left.  Mike Russell, who scored 12 points in the win, answered with a layup with 44 seconds left to make the score 47-44.

Engineer sophomore Jeff McCartney (Wooster, Ohio/Triway) had a pair of opportunities to tie the game on three-point attempts on the next possession, but Ryan Fultz of Anderson ended the possession with a rebound at the four-second mark.

Fultz buried two free throws for his 13th and 14th points to give the Ravens a 49-44 lead and secure the win.

Anderson improved to 13-10 overall and 9-5 in conference play.  Rose-Hulman dropped to 10-13 overall and 6-8 in league contests.  The Engineers host Manchester College in the Senior Day game on Saturday at 3 p.m.
