  Rose-Hulman News Engineers Finish 3rd in Rose-Hulman Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Fightin' Engineer men's golf team compiled a strong third-place finish at the Rose-Hulman Invitational at Hulman Links Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday.

Anderson University improved from third place to the top spot to claim the team title with a two day score of 629.  DePauw University claimed second place with a 633, followed closely by Rose-Hulman's team score of 634.

Franklin standout Justin Ridge captured Medalist honors with a two-day score of 149.  Ridge fired a round of 75 on Saturday and shot a 74 on Sunday.

Sophomore Brian Kiraly (Granger) led the Engineer effort with a second place performance and a two-day score of 153.  Kiraly tallied rounds of 75 and 78 in his effort.

Senior Ryan Mitchell (Fishers) finished sixth overall with a two-day tally of 157 and two rounds under 80.  Junior Coy McNew (Richmond) finished eighth individually with a 158, highlighted by a 77 on Saturday.

Senior Kyle Wilson (Duluth, Minn.) and freshman Brett Highley (McCordsville) rounded out the Engineer team score with finishes of 23rd and 30th place.  Sophomore Dan Stanage (Cassopolis, Minn.) added an eighth place finish for the second Engineer squad with a two-day 158.

Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Little Giant / Engineer Cup matches against Wabash College on Wednesday.
