TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Wabash College claimed the
2007 Little Giant / Engineer Cup with an 8.5 to 5.5 victory over
Rose-Hulman in the annual Ryder Cup style match at Hulman Links
Golf Course on Thursday.
Freshman Dan Stanage (Cassopolis, Mich.)
paced Rose-Hulman's team effort with a score of 81 that resulted
in two points. Stanage earned a 4 and 3 victory over Bryan
Arnold in singles play, and combined with Ryan Mitchell
(Fishers) for a four-man match point.
Sophomore Coy McNew (Richmond) and senior
Anthony Sloan (Pana, Ill.) led the Engineer individual
scores with rounds of 80.
Rose-Hulman returns to action at the Centre
College Golf Invitational on Saturday at Danville, Ky.
