TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology senior Luis Bougrat (Franklin,
Tenn./Battle Ground Academy) has been named the Heartland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for his
efforts in last weekend's victory over Mount St. Joseph.
Bougrat lifted the Engineers to the win in game
one of Friday night's twinbill with a complete game effort.
The right-hander tossed all seven innings, allowing four hits
with two walks and six strikeouts.
With the victory, Bougrat improved to 3-1 on the
season with a 4.50 earned run average. In his last 28.1
innings of work since March 12, Bougrat has tallied an earned
run average of 1.88.
Rose-Hulman stands 19-9 on the
season and 6-4 in HCAC play. The Engineers next travel to Defiance College
for a three-game series that begins on Friday afternoon.
