Starter Dan Sprunger threw three and one third innings allowing four runs on eight hits before a thunderstorm would cause the game to be postponed until nine the following morning.

Starter Jon Oliver threw four innings of two hit ball for Wooster before the rain delay, striking out five, leaving with a 4-0 lead as the rain hit.

In the bottom of the first, first baseman Rob Romick of Wooster singled to left field with designated hitter Kurt Kapferer and center fielder Shaun Swearingen scoring from second and third respectively giving the Scots a 2-0 lead.

With no outs in the second, catcher Brandon Boesiger of Wosster hit a solo home run to left field moving the lead to 3-0.  He hit three for five on the day and had eight putouts.

After a ground out, left fielder Jake Sankal crsuhed the ball to right center, scoring the second run of the inning, bringing the score to a 4-0 Wosster lead.  Sankal batted two for five in the game.

In the fourth inning, with center fielder Scott Tarnowski at first on a walk, right fielder Brock Treesh blasts a two run homer to right center, bringing the score to 4-2.

As the game restarted in the morning after the rain storm, Mitch Waters (7-1) took the ball for the Spartans.  He threw five and two thirds shutout innings, allowing a mere four hits and fanning just as many, to earn the win.

Adam Samson took the ball for the Scots and pitched five innings, allowing three runs on four hits striking out three.  Samson dropped to a 8-3 record.

Shortstop Ryan Seal of the Spartans turns a double play to end the sixth inning.

A solo blast over the left field fence by Spartan catcher Michael Shearer dropped the lead to one with a score of 4-3, Wooster.

Later in the eighth, with one out and no one on, second baseman Matt Talarico attempts to reach on a bunt, sliding in on a close play at first, but he would be called out.

After shortstop John Quimby of Wooster reached base on a fielding error by Seal with one out in the eighth, he was picked off by Waters to first baseman Zac Bireley.

Leading off the ninth inning, Tarnowski hit a single up the middle to start a big Spartan ninth inning.  Tarnowski batted one for three with a walk, scoring twice.

After a Treesh single, and a pair of outs, gave the Spartans two outs and men on second and third.  Shearer came through once again for Manchester scoring both on bloop single into left field for the first Spartan lead of the day, 5-4.

Treesh, as the go-ahead-run, rejoices as he safely crosses home plate.

A ground out to Talarico would give the Spartans their fourth consecutive win over the Scots and advance Manchester to the Winner's Bracket finals.
