TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The
Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology men’s
cross country team has earned all-academic
status by ranking 16th
nationally in team grade point average from the United
States Track and Field
Coaches Association.
Senior women's cross country standouts
Rachel Krasich (Westfield) and Matt Repking (Effingham, Ill./Teutopolis)
also earned individual All-Academic honors from
the organization.
The Engineer men’s cross
country team carries a
cumulative grade point
average of 3.43 to rank 16th
among the 98 squads that
qualified for the team
award. All-academic teams
are required to hold a 3.1
grade point average and
compete at the NCAA Division
III Regional.

Individual award winners are
required to earn all-region
honors in cross country and
maintain at least a 3.5
grade point average over the
defined term of the award.
Krasich, who qualified for
the NCAA Division III
Women's Cross Country
National Championships,
became the first Engineer to
earn all-academic honors in
consecutive years.
Repking became the first
men's cross country runner
in more than a decade to
receive the honor.
“This award is a tribute to
the dedication of our cross
country team, both in the
classroom and in
competition. Few
student-athletes across the
nation have the academic
challenges and opportunities
that Rose-Hulman provides.
Individually, Rachel and
Matt define
the virtues of the
true student-athlete and are extremely deserving of this
award,”
