Rose-Hulman tallied a
league-best 79 academic all-HCAC student-athletes in 2006-07. |
TERRE HAUTE, IND. -- The Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology athletic department led the Heartland Collegiate
Athletic Conference with 79 academic all-league awards, in
results released by the league office today.
The men's track and field team led all Engineer
teams with 11 academic all-conference awards. Other
leaders among Rose-Hulman athletic teams included men's cross
country (10), football (9), men's soccer (7), men's swimming (6)
and women's soccer (5).
Academic all-conference student-athletes must
follow the stringent criteria of carrying a 3.50 cumulative
grade point average and be in at least their second year at the
institution.
