• Rapid Prototyping Equipment 3-D printer produces physical prototypes, including designs difficult to produce with traditional machining methods. Prototypes are rapidly made out of poloycarbonate.
  • Vacuum Casting System produces polyurethane replicas of three-dimensional objects by using silicone molds based on patterns provided by the client or produced by our rapid prototyping equipment. This approach is useful when modest quantities of consumables or other parts are required for prototyping and/or testing.
  • Laser Digitizer System digitizes any three dimensional object up to 18" in diameter. The output files are used in most 3D Modeling programs or to a Selective Laser Sintering rapid prototyping machine.
  • Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) Mill and Lathe that allows machine paths to be generated from computer solid models to create exact, repeatable components with CAD/CAM software. Our facilities also include a manual vertical mill and engine lathe. Two mini-CNC mills assist with making smaller parts and in fabricating quick turnaround printed circuit boards.
  • Thermoformer can be used to form objects from thin plastic sheets up to 18” x 18”.
  • Class 100 Clean Bench can be used to assemble devices in a relatively dust free environment.

Solid Modeling and Other Development Software

Three-dimensional, computer-aided design software allows engineers to easily create, refine, model and test large complicated assemblies prior to fabricating and assembling physical prototypes. The result is a reduction in design and development time, thus allowing developers to more quickly bring products to market at a lower cost. Individual components may be test fitted together, stresses analyzed, and temperature profiles plotted without physically fabricating and assembling prototypes. Discrepancies may are identified and corrected at an earlier stage of development resulting in significant savings in time and money.
