The Challenge
How can technology make billboard and point
of purchase advertising pop?
Never before have images been accurately and
cost-effectively printed on plastic, then
reformed into a three-dimensional form
without distortion. But Elastic Image has
commercially proven it to be the product of
the future…today.
The Result
Intellectual property created by
Rose-Hulman Ventures in collaboration with
Elastic Image represents a giant step
forward in the area of pre-decorated,
thermoformed parts for a wide range of
applications including point-of-sale,
in-store signage, vending, outdoor
billboards, packaging, dashboards,
appliances and toys. Elastic Image and
Rose-Hulman Ventures developed the software
and hardware for the imaging process,
resulting in proprietary technology (patent
with 35 claims), including two commercial
releases. This disruptive technology has
been created by talents from various
disciplines - computer, electrical and
mechanical engineering, as well as
algorithms/software development. Market
validation has been proven by clients
including Anheuser Bush, Lancer (the largest
distributor of dispensing machines in the
United States), Steak N Shake, Sam Adams and
Toys-R-Us.
