Rose-Hulman Ventures combines exceptional technical
skills of students with creativity and innovation
critical
for technological leadership. This experience reinforces
and enhances classroom knowledge through hands-on
applications and interaction with project managers,
faculty, student interns and company executives.
The educational process goes beyond applying technical
expertise. Students utilize analytical skills to
understand external constraints, demonstrate an ability
to think logically, and communicate effectively with top
executives. They are challenged to broaden their
thinking to become problem-solvers and exhibit
professional and ethical responsibility. In other words,
they do engineering.

How does it work?
Multi-disciplinary teams of students work in paid
internship positions under the direction of full-time
project managers
or faculty assisting
technology-driven businesses in the design, prototyping
and testing of products and services. Students learn the
skills, attributes and qualities necessary to enable
them to practice engineering in a professional method.
This learning opportunity is one that distinguishes a
Rose-Hulman education.
