Established in 1868 at the University of Virginia, Pi Kappa Alpha is one of the strongest international social fraternities with over 220 chapters in North America. The Iota Delta chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha was established on the Rose-Hulman campus in 1986 on the principles of Scholarship and De-emphasis of alcohol. The men of Pi Kappa Alpha believe in the ability of a fraternity to help a man grow emotionally, socially, and academically. Pikes strive to set a standard of excellence in the classroom, on athletic fields, by campus leadership, and through service to the community of Terre Haute. The chapter is always seeking men of high moral character who strive to be Scholars, Leaders, Athletes and Gentlemen. Up to 80 brothers reside on the 24 acre site of the historic Glenn Home, a mile east of campus, at 7140 Wabash Avenue.
