Through strategic planning, we successfully launched an evolutionary era in 1976 with "The Blueprint for Excellence." Then, in 1995 thanks to "The Vision to Be the Best," we launched a golden age, during which we've held national #1 status for 13 years. And now we are poised for another leap, whereby Rose-Hulman moves from "best-in-class" to "great."

"Great" goes beyond superlatives, beyond "best." Best competes, edging out peers; "great" aspires, stepping out, peerless. "Great" makes history by changing the course of the future.

It is incumbent upon Rose-Hulman, as leaders who have spent 13 years at the top of engineering education, to set the pace for the education of the future. That visionary future is a moving target, and to hit it, we must aim ahead of the curve. When we tap the extraordinary minds of the greater Rose-Hulman community, we will aim true.
