Enrollment verification
Enrollment verifications for medical insurance, loan deferments,
childcare reimbursement, employment or other needs may be obtained
directly by students at any time via Banner.
If a third party contacts Rose-Hulman for enrollment
verification, good student verification (confirming a GPA of 3.0 or
above) or degree verifications, they will be provided only with
your consent. We will not discuss your student information with an
employer or any other third party inquiry without a separate
specific consent from you at the time of their request.
Who needs enrollment verification?
An Enrollment Verification is an official Rose-Hulman document
communicating your academic record. Insurance companies, loan
institutions, student benefit programs or future employers are all
examples of organizations that might require enrollment
verification.
What type of information is provided?
Enrollment verifications usually require confirmation of current
enrollment along with a student's enrollment status (full-time,
half-time, part-time) and expected graduation date. Good student
insurance discount eligibility is based on grades and GPA. Other
manufacturing discounts are based on final degree conferral.
Whatever information is available on your academic record can be
provided to the third party, with your consent. It is important for
students to keep their address and anticipated graduation date
current in Banner. This information is used by lending agencies as
part of their deferment processing.
What is Banner?
Banner is an institution-wide "Enterprise Resource Planning"
application that houses, organizes, and helps users access
Rose-Hulman's academic and administrative data. Used by students,
faculty and administration to process everything from applications
to grades, Banner underlies much of the institute's operations. Learn more.
