Sustainability Team

The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Sustainability Team was formed in 2007 to promote the responsible management of resources through shared learning, community involvement and the reduction of waste. We are working to unite efforts on campus to promote a culture of sustainability that reduces our environmental footprint while contributing to the development of our students as leaders and responsible citizens.
All of our efforts are designed to help fulfill our mission: "To reduce, to the extent technologically and economically feasible, the environmental impacts associated with the operations of the Institute."
What is sustainability?
Here is our team's shared definition: Sustainability is "an attempt to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs."
