Selling
yourself with resumes
and letters
While you will meet prospective employers at our Career Fairs and during interviews, you will still need to sell yourself on paper (or at least in an electronic document). The resume and cover letter speak for you when you can't be there in person.
Your resume and cover letter are your opportunity to not only detail your classroom accomplishments but also everything else that makes you a well-rounded team player. Employers are looking for people who are creative and decisive, can adapt to frequent change, are good leaders and team players, demonstrate good work ethic, are good planners and can cope well under stress. At the same time, they need people who have the right education and work background to fit the job at hand. Find out more about killer cover letters and resumes below.
