Indiana medical companies can participate in Biomedical Engineering Internship Program

The Biomedical Engineering Internship Program is made possible through a grant from the Lilly Foundation, with the following objectives:

  • To create a partnership between Rose-Hulman and emerging life sciences companies in Indiana;
  • To provide those companies with qualified students to assist with their staffing needs during a three-month, full-time summer internship;
  • To provide unique learning opportunities for students in the Biomedical Engineering program in areas such as research, laboratory techniques and emerging medical technologies;
  • To provide interested students with a summer internship experience where they will learn about biomedical engineering opportunities in Indiana.

What are the requirements?

You must agree to provide the summer intern with 40 hours of meaningful work each week of the summer, providing a mentor to work with the student. You will pay the intern $14/hour for freshmen and sophomores or $17/hour for juniors or seniors. Up to 50% of the wage will be reimbursed to you from the program fund. Our program is very flexible, so we can tailor it to fit your needs. We are committed to working with you to find the best students for your environment.
