NOTICE: February 6, 2014
We’ve been notified by the Vigo County Health Department that a Rose-Hulman student has been diagnosed with mumps. Because of the resurgence of mumps in the Midwest, we’ve been advised by Joni Wise, administrator of the Vigo County Health Department, that students, faculty and staff – particularly those individuals who have direct student contact – need to be aware they may be at risk of contracting the disease. Rose-Hulman’s Office of Student Affairs is working to identify and notify those individuals personally. More information on mumps can be found here.
Rose-Hulman Student Affairs and Health Services are monitoring the situation. Any additional concerns or questions can be directed to Jane Keyes, R.N., of the Vigo County Health Department at 812-462-3431.
