Insurance and Health
All exchange students are required to carry an accident and sickness insurance policy while studying in the United States. It is the requirement of Rose-Hulman that exchange students enroll in an insurance plan picked by the institution. The price for this insurance plan is $340 per quarter and covers students in the event they are involved in an accident or become ill and need to seek medical attention.
All exchange students will automatically be enrolled in the policy upon being accepted to study at Rose-Hulman. To learn more about the types of coverage offered, please refer to this brochure.
Immunization Records and Health Services
Prior to arrival, you will need to submit your immunization records to the staff in Health Services. Exchange students are required to provide medical records showing current immunizations for tetanus, MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella), and poliovirus. Students from abroad are also required to have a TB skin test performed by Health Services upon their arrival to Rose-Hulman’s campus. The fee for this test is $5.
The forms are available to download at the Health Services Forms website. Look under the heading “Exchange Students.” Once you have completed all the forms, please send them to the Health Services Assistant, Ms. Kristin Merritt.
