This course curriculum will assist students to determine which quarters are best suited for them to study abroad within their major curriculum.

Each curriculum is one page, divided into four sections (one per academic year). Each section contains the standard classes for each quarter. Click the academic field below for the corresponding classes.

Classes in RED type have been designated by the respective department as classes that MAY NOT be taken abroad. Keep in mind that one department may allow a certain course to be taken abroad while another department may not allow the same course to be transferred. Each sheet applies ONLY to the respective major.

Classes with diamond icon (♦) have been transferred from a foreign institute in the past by a Rose-Hulman student. This does not necessarily mean it can be taken abroad at the current time or will be accepted by the department, it is purely for reference. In general, RED type denotes “negative” input from a department, and GREEN type denotes “positive” input (e.g. a note in green type specifying a quarter as the “best” to study abroad, or a note in red type specifying a quarter is not recommended for study abroad).

*Final Transfer of credit depends on departmental approval. Be sure to talk to your advisor and the director of study abroad about how classes abroad can fit into your overall plan!
