Rose Exchange: The Concept
The Rose Exchange is an informal report of the collective
informal reports heard most Wednesday mornings at our
informal gathering called the "Exchange."
Like the proverbial Town Crier, the web version of the
Exchange is meant to give you a sense of what's going on
around campus. At the very least, it lets you know where the
stories are.
Ideally, it encourages ever greater numbers of faculty and staff
to attend the Exchange in person -- all are invited. For this
reason, the web version may be told in a kind
of short-hand; some news items may be left out; a
story may omit several factiods.
The only way to get the "full version" -- not to mention the
flavor -- of the Exchange is to join the community on
Wednesday mornings at 8 a.m., where it is easy
to follow up with colleagues, determine contexts, and get
the juicy details.
We look forward to seeing you at the Exchange!
Until then, enjoy our web brief.
