Civil Eng. Alumnus Named Missouri County Administrator
Rose-Hulman
Timothy W. Smith

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology civil engineering alumnus Timothy W. Smith has been named the first county administrator of Missouri's Greene County, which includes the city of Springfield.

Smith (Civil Eng., '75) has served as the county's administrator for the Resource Management Department since 2000.

The county commission created the county administrator position to provide oversight of the county's administrative functions and day-to-day county operations.  Smith will facilitate and support County Commission departments and implement county policies.  He will report directly to the members of the county commission.

Smith began working for Greene County in 1992 as a storm water engineer.  The Dugger, Ind., native has experience in design and construction, plan review, regulation and administration.
