Erica Altuve has been named the new director of annual giving in the Office of Development at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.  Altuve will be responsible for the development and implementation of all annual giving programs to help the college achieve its fundraising goals. This will include the recruitment and management of annual giving volunteers, management of the telefund as well as direct mail and e-mail campaigns to support the annual fund. She will also coordinate stewardship and cultivation events associated with the annual fund. She will manage young alumni and parent’s giving programs.
Altuve was previously director of annual giving at the University of Memphis where she created and revised solicitation strategies, direct mail, phonathon and stewardship programs that significantly increased annual gifts to the university. Prior to her position at the university, Altuve was associate director of annual giving for the telefund at the Indiana University Foundation. She was responsible for the administration and operation of a telefund call center that generated $4 million in donations during a single fiscal year. Altuve graduated from the University of Wisconsin where she earned a bachelor of science degree in life sciences communications, and a bachelor of arts certificate in women’s studies. Altuve’s experience in fundraising started at the university when she served for three years as a student fundraiser and floor manager for the telefund.
