Alumni Groups Planning to Help Their
Communities
on National Day of Service - March 27
|
|
|
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology alumni from throughout the country
are planning to expand their focus on community service through the
Office of Alumni Affairs' National Day of Service project on March 27.
This year's effort is the biggest effort yet by the college's alumni,
according to Brian Dyer, executive director of alumni affairs.
Alumni and family members in central Indiana and the Minneapolis areas
are planning to help construct Habit for Habitat projects in those
communities. Trent Bennett and Ben Lauer are organizing the activity in
Indianapolis, while Peter Wentzel is putting together work teams in
Minneapolis.
Meanwhile, Rose-Hulman's Student Alumni Association members are
organizing a project for Wabash Valley alumni and current students.
Other Alumni clubs planning community service activities this year
include:
- Atlanta, Ga.
- Chicago, Ill., organized by Walter Flood
- Cincinnati, Ohio, organized by David Crawford
- Columbus, Ohio, organized by Mark Reed
- Dallas, Texas, organized by Gerald Roberts
- Houston, Texas, organized by Heidi Davidson and John Jacobi
