Funeral arrangements have been scheduled for student Robert Rea, 21, who
died unexpectedly on Monday. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at
Collins Funeral Home, 465 W. McClain Ave., in Scottsburg, Ind., with burial
in Scottsburg Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m.
Saturday in the funeral home.
Robert was a senior biomedical engineering major from Underwood, Ind., and
he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He also served as
chairman of the alumni committee, was a founding member of the Vigo County
Young Republicans Club and a member of Lick Branch Baptist Church in Deputy,
Ind.
Survivors include his mother and father, Cathy and Matt Sipe; father, Thomas
M. Rea; two sisters, Alison Rea and Rachel(Alex Munden) Rea; a brother,
Gerald(Allison Ouellet) Rea; grandparents, Danny and Janice Sipe; and his
cat, Hennessey.
Rose-Hulman is arranging bus transportation to visitation on Friday. Because
of the small size of the funeral home, the family has requested that members
of the Rose-Hulman community attend on Friday. Persons wishing to be on one
of the buses, should e-mail Kim.Jones@Rose-Hulman.edu in the Student Affairs
Office by noon on Thursday, November 5th.
The buses will load in the Moench Hall parking lot beginning at 2:30 pm on
Friday and will depart at 3 pm.
