Rose-Hulman Expert on Batteries on Channel 13

Professor Michael Mueller, of the Chemistry/Biochemistry
department, appears on Channel 13 news to explain why
batteries explode. "Any time you generate gas in a sealed metal
container," Mueller tells the TV journalist, "that's called a
bomb."
