Kelly Knapp conducted her work on "The Interpolation of Hydraulic Head Contours" as part of her senior honors project at Ursinus College. Work began in spring of her junior year, spanned a summer research fellowship, and culminated in fall of her senior year. Results from work conducted as part of the Ursinus Summer Fellows Program were presented at the EPADEL Fall '99 meeting. In addition, Kelly presented her final project at the 2000 Joint Meetings of the MAA & AMS as part of a session on Environmental Mathematics in the Classroom. This version of the paper is an abridged version of her final project and was awarded the Grand Prize in the Spring 2000 EPADEL Student Paper Contest. Kelly graduated magna cum laude and with Distinguished Honors in Mathematics in May 2000. She accepted a position as an Associate Programmer Analyst at Ethicon Inc. and was recently married.
