Positions in Mathematics Department - Fall 2014
Full Time Visiting Positions: Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple full time visiting positions at the Assistant Professor level for the Fall of 2014. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching and continued scholarly and professional development. We are seeking individuals who will interact well with students and faculty in science and engineering programs. All areas of the mathematical sciences will be considered, though preference will be given to candidates whose background and expertise fill areas of need within the department.
Successful candidates will have, by Fall 2014, an earned Ph.D. or near completion in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or closely related field. The essential job functions include: classroom teaching and student advising; curriculum development and continuous improvement; and service and committee work. Experience at teaching undergraduate mathematics with full responsibility is desired. A research and scholarship program that supports undergraduate education or undergraduate mathematics research is also desirable.

Timeline We will begin initial screening on December 5, 2013. Candidates who intend to attend
the Joint AMS-MAA meetings in Baltimore should so note in their cover letter. Candidates
who submit a complete application before Dec 13, 2013 will be considered for onsite
interviews at the joint meetings.
