Positions in Mathematics Department - Fall 2013

Full Time Visiting Position We invite applications for a full time visiting position at the Visiting Assistant Professor level for the Fall of 2013 in the Mathematics
Department at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to excellent undergraduate teaching and continued
scholarly and professional development. We are seeking individuals who will interact well with
students and faculty in science and engineering programs. All areas of the mathematical sciences
will be considered, though preference will be given to candidates whose background and expertise
fill areas of need within the department.
Successful candidates will have, by Fall 2013, a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics,
or closely related field. Experience at teaching undergraduate mathematics with full responsibility
is desired. A research and scholarship program that supports undergraduate education or undergraduate
mathematics research is also desirable.

Timeline We will begin initial screening on December 5, 2012. Candidates who intend to attend
the Joint AMS-MAA meetings in San Diego should so note in their cover letter. Candidates
who submit a complete application before Dec 13, 2012 will be considered for onsite
interviews at the joint meetings.
