MA 491 - Introduction to Mathematical Modeling

This course provides an introduction to the process of mathematically modeling a problem, including data collection, defining the appropriate mathematical model and interpreting the results of the proposed model. Emphasis placed on the modeling process, using examples from both continuous and discrete mathematics. The course is specically intended for student doing a senior project for a mathematics major or double major. However any student with a senior standing is welcome
