DATA USES AND DISSEMINATION

• Package assessment information for each audience to facilitate its use in decision making and program improvement.
  
  
• The Power of Negative Evidence:
• Institutions and individuals generally fear the impact of negative findings, but negative results are most likely to induce positive action.
• Assessment Promotes evidence-based thinking and new conversations aimed at improvement.
  
  
• The assessment program must be trusted and supported at all levels—students , faculty, administrators.

TWO JANUSIAN STATEMENTS ABOUT USES OF THE DATA:

• Assessment evidence should not be used for faculty evaluation, nor for budget and program cuts.
  
  
• Those faculty and departments(and campuses) that can provide evidence about the impact they are having on their students will do better in the competition for scarce resources than those who cannot.
