Rose-Hulman receives third state improvement award

The State of Indiana for the third time in four years has honored Rose-Hulman for its achievements in the area of quality improvement. Rose-Hulman received the Indiana Quality Improvement Award from Indiana Lt. Gov. Joseph Kernan during ceremonies in Bloomington.

Rose-Hulman was among the first colleges to receive the honor in 1997. The college received the award again in 1999.

It is the only statewide award with the sole purpose of recognizing and encouraging companies and organizations in their quests for excellent and improved service.
“Rose-Hulman’s selection as a repeat winner is a strong indication of the quality of our people and programs,” President Samuel Hulbert stated.

The award is presented by the State of Indiana and administered by the Indiana Business Modernization and Technology Corporation (BMT). BMT President Del Schuh said the award is an expression of public support for the highest standards of quality leadership and achievement by Hoosier organizations.
