Rose-Hulman Institute of
Technology has a long
tradition of giving that
started with the
philanthropic efforts of
Chauncey Rose, who founded
Rose Polytechnic Institute
in 1874. Rose knew then that
providing a broad-based
undergraduate engineering,
math and science education
would be an investment in
people and their potential.
That tradition of giving to
Rose-Poly continues to this
day at Rose-Hulman and has
made a profound and lasting
contribution to engineering
education.
Rose-Hulman still relies
on the generosity of alumni,
parents and other friends to
exceed the standards of
excellence Chauncey Rose set
for the institution more
than 125 years ago. Today’s
students still walk the
floors of the main building,
Moench Hall, with dreams of
becoming the engineering and
science leaders of tomorrow.
Because tuition alone does
not result in enough funds
to provide the high quality
Rose-Hulman education, your
gift is essential. Through
our development efforts, we
seek funds for technology to
equip state-of-the-art
classrooms, faculty support
and financial aid which
Rose-Hulman needs to ensure
the excellence of an
undergraduate engineering
education.
