You may
instruct in your will that
Rose-Hulman receives a
bequest of cash or other
valuable assets. A bequest
may provide for a specific
dollar gift, a percentage of
your estate, or specific
asset(s) to be given to
Rose-Hulman in support of
its various programs and
endeavors. A bequest may
also be in the form of a
gift of the remaining assets
of one's estate. If you
opt for a residual bequest,
Rose-Hulman receives
whatever remains only after
all debts, taxes, expenses,
and other bequests are paid.
Or you may choose a
contingent bequest, whereby
Rose-Hulman becomes a
beneficiary only if a
primary beneficiary does not
survive you or another
condition is not met.
Bequests, like other gifts,
can be designated for many
purposes or given without
restriction. Any of these
bequests can memorialize a
family member or honor a
colleague and can provide
scholarships or fund other
areas of interest.
