Why did you decide to come to Rose?
My story is a little bit different than most other people.
Originally I did not think Rose-Hulman was the college for
me; I thought it would not be a good fit. But through
counsel from older adults like my parents and pastor, and a
lot of prayer, I knew that Rose-Hulman was where I was
supposed to go. And now being on the other side, I'm so glad
I didn't go with my gut instinct, because there are so many
wonderful things about the Rose-Hulman community that you
can't fully appreciate until you are a part of it. I'm glad
that I chose to share these four years of my life with Rose
because it has been a wonderful exchange and I have grown so
much through my experiences here.
What's it like being a student at
Rose-Hulman?
Becoming an engineer is not just about the book learning it
takes to get a degree, but more about the mindset behind
engineering. Rose is a breeding ground for this mindset, the
one that says, "No matter what the obstacle, or how long and
hard that obstacle may be, I will keep perseverving until I
have found a way to conquer it."
