bulletBasic techniques of image processing.
bulletDiscrete and continuous two-dimensional transforms such as Fourier and Hotelling.
bulletImage enhancement though filtering and histogram modification.
bulletImage restoration through inverse filtering.
bulletImage segmentation including edge detection and thresholding.
bulletIntroduction to image encoding.
bulletIntegral laboratory

Theory is transformed into application using MATLAB. The MATLAB-based lab activities reinforce the concepts learned in class. Moreover, a multi-week project will give you a chance to explore a selected topic in more detail.
